Do not use these con artists

Scam artists! They are lazy, overcharge you a ton (after the quote), leave stuff behind, damage your property and don't take any responsibility for it. There is literally nothing good I can say about these people. I'm just appalled by their business acumen. Seriously do not use these people. You will be happier for it. They lie about their coverage and what they can and cannot move. You would think a moving company would move all your belonging, but oh no, these guys sure don’t. There is not one word of a lie or exaggeration on this and can prove it with email correspondence with this shady business

Just dropped by to thank Calgary Movers - Riteway Movers & Storage for quickly and safely moving my household items last weekend to Horton Road, SW Calgary. Was anticipating some last minute surprises but Calgary Movers - Riteway Movers & Storage were very helpful. It was pleasure to do business with Calgary Movers - Riteway Movers & Storage.

Property damage & overly charged

Do not recommend!

Showed up with a truck that was appropriate for at least 4 times the space of my apartment. This was most likely a severe overcharge right out of the gate.

Charged $183/month for storage. Average.

Delivered with the same enormous truck for so few items. Excessive charge times two.

Broke a Television and damaged the drywall while moving property in. Offered $25 for damage to $500 tv and drywall damage. Not appropriate obviously.

Very difficult to communicate with the movers due to very heavy accents. Nice enough gentleman I suppose, even though I still do not know half of what they said to me.

Thank you for your feedback and time. Move insurance coverage and deductible was explained in booking confirmation email. We never charged you any amount for any insurance or replacement coverage. $183 per month was for storage space and not any insurance. We are not insurance brokers and do not sell insurance for local moves.
Packing for TV was your responsibility and was never packed in proper box in first place. Secondly, drywall damage was never brought to our or movers attention and there was no remark on damage portion of the delivery bill of lading.
As per movers, there were trade person in garage on move date to fix the prior damages to drywall and paint. Despite any coverage and for customer satisfaction, movers offered you cash for damaged tv stand and you refused. Further to email conversation with office you accepted $25 towards the damage and did received the e-transfer for refund.
we still have the copy of email you sent to us threatening to post bad review and also have your clients do the same. truck size is irrelevant for your move as charge was not based on truck size.

Moved from CALGARY TO London.

No hidden charges as compared to others. Decent, professionals and very affordable. By far the most reasonable price I found to move from AB TO ON. Do not hesitate to contact them. The stuff did not get stolen, damaged or lost. That is all I can say. Finding a right mover is hard, I know it. But, I strongly recommend Rite Way movers Calgary. They might not have the 5 rating stars, but they are a little company who are competing with price and service in Canada.

Dishonest.

We had this company withhold details that some very expensive items were stolen while they were in Riteway's storage in Edmonton. When confronted with this info just before the mover arrived, he threatened to leave all our belongings in another location.  The owner/driver of this company was also late as the police caught him driving over his allowed hours per day and falsifying his trucks logbooks. The police also suspected him of the person who stole the items from us while they were in his storage. .

Poor customer service, hiddens costs, (when asked why wasn't I told, the reply I got - you did not ask!) NOT flexible, and their main Vanlines customer service line (Allied Vanlines) is a joke. Save yourselves the trouble and go with a more professional company.
